Baltimore Washington Medical Center (BWMC), a member of the University of Maryland Medical System, provides the highest quality of care compared with cutting edge technology and the dynamic knowledge of our Pulmonary team and Lung Center is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the pulmonary team to provide comprehensive treatment and diagnoses to patients with lung diseases and respiratory issues in Glen Burnie, MD

• Position will manage and treat patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pulmonary hypertension (PH) and other conditions of the lung.
• Clinical responsibilities will be comprised of inpatient pulmonary consults, focusing on prevent readmission in COPD  and outpatient clinic coverage, following patients longitudinally.
• Collaborative, supportive team comprised of physicians, advanced practice providers, pulmonary function technicians, medical assistants and administrative support staff.
• Monday through Friday work schedule, no weekends or call coverage.
• Adult gerontology, primary care, or acute care certified NP’s and Physician Assistants are welcome to apply.

• ​​​​​​Graduation from a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner educational program approved by the State Board of Licensing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to the programs in Maryland required.
• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required. 
• Experience as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in pulmonary medicine preferred, not required.
• Ideal candidate with have experience as Pulmonary Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, or a new graduate with extensive ER or inpatient background experience
• Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required.
• DEA and CDS eligible.
