Cadet/Midshipman

Projects vary and are matched to the student’s major, interests and skills and are in support of research being performed at LLNL.  Assignments can be four to six weeks, pending availability.  Cadets and midshipmen must obtain authorization to apply from their respective academy POC.  Lodging, travel, a shared rental car and per diem are covered by either NNSA or DTRA.  Clearances are not required for all assignments but open more opportunities.

Faculty

Similar to students, faculty (military and civilian) are matched to their field of interest, degree, and skills and are in support of research being performed at LLNL.  Assignments can be four to six weeks, pending availability.  Funding will come from either NNSA, DTRA or LLNL.  An objective is to build collaborations to host future cadets and midshipmen, possible senior thesis projects and to help faculty update their knowledge and skills towards developing future curriculum.
